Shams-23 is a deviated, newly drilled and completed well in both the Natih and Shuaiba reservoirs in the Shams-B structure. Coiled tubing stimulation and well clean-up operations were executed and very positive results achieved as per the ongoing well testing program.
The operation was designed to stimulate the Natih formation with HCL (acid) and divergent agents (VDA). Following which a Nitrogen (N2) kick-off was initiated to commence the well production. The entire Slickline, Coiled Tubing and Well Testing operation was completed successfully and was performed without any HSE or Services Quality incidents.
