ARA Team Building
Following a successful year of operation in 2017, the ARA team gathered on 30th January 2018 for a group meeting and team building session at the Shangri-La Barr al Jissah resort.
The team looks forward to greater successes in the year ahead.
Award of Oman Block 31
ARA Petroleum has signed an Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement for Block 31, onshore Oman, with the Government of the Sultanate of Oman. Block 31 is over 8,500 sq.km, neighbouring ARA's existing operation in Block 44.
The EPSA was signed by H.E. Dr Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas, on behalf of the Omani Government, and by Mr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Zubair on behalf of ARA Petroleum.
Subsurface evaluation will begin in early 2018, with an exploration plan to follow later in the year.
Qarat al Milh Petroleum commence operations
Qarat al Milh Petroleum successfully passed the PDO audit and commenced operation in the QSF area on 1st March 2017. The license area covers 5800 sqkm and contain a number of discoveries and 3 brown fields which requires work-over and additional production wells. Personnel from Qarat al Milh Petroleum are now operating the wells in the contract area and planning for work-over and drilling is ongoing.
